Britain's Princess Eugenie attended her first official royal engagement yesterday (23.10.08).

The 18-year-old royal joined her mother Sarah Ferguson - the Duchess of York - for a visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit in Leeds.

The princess laughed and joked with young patients and took a tour of the facilities.

Sarah - who is a patron for the charity - said yesterday: "Being a parent to two young girls, this charity has a particular place in my heart and I am delighted to be here today to open the new Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at St James's Hospital.

Some people looked really angry, and when a bouncer went to tell them not to do it again, Eugenie hid behind her friend like she was still at school.

"The facilities on offer are just fantastic and will undoubtedly help young people from across Yorkshire through a very difficult time."

Eugenie managed to squeeze the trip in between two nights out at exclusive London nightspots Movida on Wednesday night (22.10.08) and Whisky Mist, which she left at 3.30am this morning (24.10.08).

At Movida, Eugenie and a friend accidentally showered themselves in Champagne after struggling to open the bottle.
